Our Commitment to Local Vendors

By bringing unique opportunities to local industrial companies to sell us goods and services, we are able to maximize the local economic benefits from our project. On this page, we are listing just some of the categories where we will be able to source local participation.

We try to make it as simple as possible for local industrial concerns to work with us. By developing a strong relationship with each vendor or supplier, we hope that they will contact us with new ideas, new technology and new services that their firms may be able to offer ERE. Our company will be hosting a Local Vendor Fair on February 8, 2008 to develop every possible opportunity for local businesses to sell Erie Renewable Energy goods and services. Services and materials we will need may include:

• Materials handling equipment and service
• Rail management and maintenance services
• Industrial training services
• Field technicians to service any concerns or quality issues

Local Construction Labor

ERE will use local construction labor for its facility. We expect to create over 200 new construction jobs during an approximatley 18-month period beginning in late 2008.
