ERE is committed to local employment with a special focus on employment diversity. ERE will enter into contracts with local organizations to find, train and sustain a truly diverse workforce. Priority training opportunities will be given to traditionally unemployed or under-employed segments of the local workforce, particularly workers displaced by the closing of industrial plants in the Erie area. We'll also put heavy emphasis on diversity training and hiring when we select our strategic supply partners for this project which will ultimately create over 200 family-sustaining jobs right here in Erie County.
Pay Scale
Our plant will offer superior pay rates to workers at all levels. An average salary of $50,000.00 is projected. We will start training in late 2008 for plant operation labor. Here are some of the positions we will be hiring:
- Boiler operators
- Materials Handling
- Electrical transmission specialists
